Bukonzo Dream comes to us from Rwenzori Mountains, or ‘The Mountains of the Moon’ in Southwest Uganda. The name ‘Bukonzo Dream’ is derived from the Bakonzo Tribe: a group of descendants living throughout the Rwenzori Mountains, covering both Uganda and the Democratic Republic of Congo.
This lot is a collection of cherries from multiple smallholders in the region; processed and produced by Agri Evolve. Agri Evolve is a profit-for-purpose business that works closely with Ugandan coffee farmers, improving yields, increasing income and raising the quality of life for farmers, their families and their communities. Since its founding in 2016, Agri Evolve has rapidly expanded to become the largest employer in the region bringing new economic stability and job opportunities to the community. Their promise of a stable and reliable place to sell coffee continues to transform the lives of coffee producers in the region. We are very excited to continue this growth by promoting Rwenzori Mountain coffee in London.
Bukonzo Dream is a juicy, clean, and balanced cup; hitting us with a burst of tropical fruit and a milk chocolate finish. We found this bean tastes great brewed as both filter and espresso, with notes of apricot, peach and caramel.
