PITAYA

from £13.50

Taste: Dragon Fruit . White Wine . Marzipan

Origin: Colombia

Brewing Method: Filter

Process: Washed

Pitaya, Spanish for dragon fruit, inherits its name from the tropical fruit that thrives in the region’s volcanic soil and often grows alongside coffee at similar altitudes. The name is also a nod to the cup’s tropical profile.

Pitaya is a Pink Bourbon blend, consisting of coffees produced by 25 smallholders in the Huila region of Colombia. This coffee was sourced and imported through Minga Coffee, who focus on cultivating coffee in harmony with nature and value traditional processing methods. Founders Laura and William, alongside the Minga team, create these blends through carefully selecting local lots with a similar flavour profile, as opposed to the typical methods of combining lots from the same day or general quality. The result is a blend that best represents each varietal and does not compromise on consistency.

Pitaya is a beautiful example of how washed Colombian coffee can shine. Naturally sweet, the cup has a fruit-forward profile and a balanced acidity. We pick up notes of dragon fruit, white wine, and marzipan with a silky mouthfeel.
